Description: ------------ (I hope it's alright to feed multiple issues into this.) 1) (After clicking the confirmation link, ) When you make a mistake in the form, the salt is lost. 2) Strange erroring on Name field - something about firstname and lastname. I think you are assuming here that it's "first last", yet in many countries (especially in Asia) it's "last first" indeed. So if you enforce a format on what is supplied here rather do seperate fields. 3) A note about filling in "all fields" wouldn't hurt.

I wanted to add: Initially, when I submitted a bug and it created an account for me and this email address it said that I did not yet confirm this email address - correct so far, but I also never received one (wording? ;-)). Also, I didn't automatically send out a confirmation email (after all, this was my first attempt) either. I had to click the link to receive the confirmation email. Maybe this could be improved so you initally receive one confirmation email when you open the account.

This bug has been fixed in CVS. If this was a documentation problem, the fix will appear on pear.php.net by the end of next Sunday (CET). If this was a problem with the pear.php.net website, the change should be live shortly. Otherwise, the fix will appear in the package's next release. Thank you for the report and for helping us make PEAR better. this bug has about 1,000,000 bugs in it. In the future, it is a good idea to report separate issues in separate bugs. Fixed the missing salt Fixed the not sent email.
