cron problem again
[2007-08-21 07:44 UTC] mj (Martin Jansen)
I just ran cron/pepr.php manually on the box and it at least produced no error message. The cron job runs at 04:00 every day. Christian, before I investigate further: I assume that the problem still exists, no?

This still happens, see bug #11970

I just checked the CHM documentation files. They were synced at the end of April the last time. Martin (or Greg), can you please check the cron jobs?
[2008-02-03 18:22 UTC] dufuz (Helgi Þormar Þorbjörnsson)
Mark: this is the reason, /local/web/pear.php.net/cron/load-chm.sh: permission denied I tried to run it by hand but then I get the issue that it can't cd into the chm dir ever if it exists and what not, hopefully Martin can look at it.

Fixed (according to Martin in Bug #13326).

He said he fixed the chm cron, we have multiple cron jobs going on and he didn't mention he changed anything in the pepr one.

> He said he fixed the chm cron, we have multiple cron jobs > going on and he didn't mention he changed anything in the > pepr one. It's very likely that both jobs didn't work for the same reason, and that Martin fixed both of them. But okay, let's wait for his response.

Please be sure when you close reports or else they might get lost.

While both issues are related to cron jobs, they have nothing to do with each other. I have now applied some magic to crontab(1) and expect the script to fire properly in about eight hours. I will check the log files then to verify this. Still unsure about the real reason for it not working properly ...
[2008-03-10 08:05 UTC] mj (Martin Jansen)
According to the log files, the script has been launched 4 minutes ago.

Just so everyone knows, the pepr cron always ran, which is evident by proposals actually closing, for example the URI_Template one closed fine but no email was sent out (starting to think it's a pepr email function problem, works locally tho) So this is a mystery, lets see if any of the S3 proposal sends out a email and what not, voting started today.

Re-opening, as there were no "finish emails" for e.g. Service_Amazon_S3 and Crypt_MicroID.

Thank you for your bug report. This issue has been fixed in the latest released version of the package, which you can download at http://pear.php.net/get/ Should work now due to fixation of bug 16091.
