Description: ------------ At the bottom of each page we have a last updated thing, it did work quite fine when we did the whole update from CVS but now those update times only point to the release time or the packaging time of given pearweb part, I'm not sure which but either way it doesn't matter, I think we should simply remove that thing since it's quite useless in it's current state and doesn't serve any real purpose anymore

why not instead request an installer feature that won't overwrite a file if the md5sum is the same?

Because for pearweb this is a pretty useless feature to begin with, we don't even include the cvs id number like most sites do that have this last updated thing. If you want to add a feature request for the installer then be my guest but I'm removing this from pearweb, it can always be added back when we have a proper prepend functionality in place, for now I'm trying to reduce the need for what we currently use.

This bug has been fixed in CVS. If this was a documentation problem, the fix will appear on pear.php.net by the end of next Sunday (CET). If this was a problem with the pear.php.net website, the change should be live shortly. Otherwise, the fix will appear in the package's next release. Thank you for the report and for helping us make PEAR better.
