Description: ------------ Hi, I intend to package this module to be part of the offical Debian distribution but I've noticed it was release under PHP 2.02 license, which it's not considered a compatible license for Debian packages. Please, consider releasing Net_Whois under PHP 3.01 Thanks in advance.

Is there any update on this issue? Debian Squeeze freeze is comming and it would be nice to have this module in Debian distribution ASAP before the freeze begins. Thanks for your time. Cheers.

This bug has been fixed in SVN. If this was a documentation problem, the fix will appear on pear.php.net by the end of next Sunday (CET). If this was a problem with the pear.php.net website, the change should be live shortly. Otherwise, the fix will appear in the package's next release. Thank you for the report and for helping us make PEAR better. after discussing this with Seamus we've decided to chance the license to PHP 3.01
