Description: ------------ Message by BJ Black: Hi there! I'd like to propose a patch to Archive_Tar that allows addString() to set a non-hardcoded mode, owner, group, etc (it would also allow hard and symlinks to be created). I tried hard not to break existing functionality and updated docs accordingly (which hadn't happened in the previous rev of addString() ). I've attached it below and in pastebin: http://pastebin.com/LrQyC6tX

This bug has been fixed in SVN. If this was a documentation problem, the fix will appear on pear.php.net by the end of next Sunday (CET). If this was a problem with the pear.php.net website, the change should be live shortly. Otherwise, the fix will appear in the package's next release. Thank you for the report and for helping us make PEAR better.
