With no possible upgrade path to the new name except for changing tons of code this is going to require me to support versions and except for a few problem classes we get no real gain. Plus if a class name is a problem we still have the issue, its not like all the old installs are going to ever upgrade since that would mean auditing thousands of lines of code. This is the type of change that should be targeted at new php 5.2 versions of classes not at existing code. |
